This is a fun event I highly recommend. I will be giving a talk on the evolution of American Roots Music and at the same time playing songs to demonstrate what they sound like. From early 20th Century blues and country to 1950s rock n roll. This takes place at Neighborhood House at 7688 SW Capitol HWY in SE Portland. The class is put on by the Senior Studies Institute. The class is free, but membership in SSI is very much encouraged. Get there early for a seat as these classes fill up quickly. Be there!
